R.I.P. Robert Schuller

Born in poverty, with a desire to preach from childhoodRobert Schuller, Rev. Schuller was a fixture on television for years. Dressed like a scholar, speaking like a close friend, in a beautiful glass building.

On television week after week after week. Years before “televangelist” became a dirty word.

No hellfire. No brimstone. Just a positive, uplifting message. Years before Joel Osteen.

The man was a trendsetter. He lived to see his massive evangelistic kingdom fall… in a manner that could be scripted by William Shakespeare.

And yet, he will be remembered warmly. God bless you, Rev. Schuller.
